David Mitchell was born in Surrey in 1936.
After completing his education and national
service he chose the life of a businessman
in the international oil and gas industry.
This took him to most parts of the world
until, in 1990, he and his wife were so
entranced with the beauty of the Ardnamurchan
Peninsula that they moved here.
Although David was always keen on drawing
it was not until his retirement that he
started to paint in acrylics. He now spends
much of the wetter months painting his local
area, and during the summer spends time
on his other interest, fishing!
