Scottish artist/illustrator Jenny Soep uses her specialised style to make spontaneous drawings of novel events, using a style that captures the emotion and energy. Providing a whole new approach to documenting the experience, Jenny draws on location while the events unfold in front of, beside and all round her. The images she creates are dynamic, alive and vivify the ambience whilst evoking a true sense of the event. The live event influences each drawing created at the time ensuring each image is completely unique. Jenny's images have been used in various editorials, books, websites, blogs, promotional material and exhibitions. She was also featured on the first Janice Forsyth show of this year.

Jenny has her MA in Illustration: Authorial Practice, and Honours degree in Illustration and Printmaking. She studied 4 years in Dundee, then travelled, worked and created art in and around Taiwan for 3 years. While there she organised a free music, poetry and art exhibition. Jenny is intent on creating more of these back here - creating 'Ceilidh/Open Mic' type performances in venues where art can also be seen and created. The events would in turn promote the venue, the artists, and arts in Scotland.
