Ken studied Drawing and Painting in Edinburgh College of Art and graduated in 1976 and then worked in ceramics and music until he began working as a full time artist in 1988. In that year he had his first solo show at the Open Eye Gallery in Edinburgh and since then has concentrated on painting the perceived landscape.
