June 1st 2006 saw the visit of Their Royal
Highnessess the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay

and son TRH were greeted by representatives
from the Sunart
Oakwoods Initiative, Sgilean Na Coille,
The Princes Scottish Youth Business Trust
and representatives from the Highland Council.
The visit was part of a larger outing to
Ardnamurchan and the Inner Isles, of which
Rum was a large aspect as HRH Prince Charles
has become a trustee for the renovation
of Kinloch Castle.
Resipole Studios presented the Duke and
Duchess with a painting on behalf of the
Sunart Oakwoods entitled 'Oak and Birch
Woodland' by Andrew Sinclair, and TRH very
kindly signed the visitors book. Near the
end of the visit, after Dr. Michael Foxley
and Andrew Sinclair showed HRH Prince Charles
around the Gallery to look at some of the
paintings, the Duchess requested to purchase
one of the oils from the exhibiton - ''A
Study of Hands', by Andrew Sinclair.
While discussing the art in the gallery,
Prince Charles mentioned that he would like
to exhibit one of his paintings in an up
and coming show at Resipole Studios.
