Colin Woolf

Colin Woolf has been a professional artist for over 35 years, and has established a reputation as one of the UK’s leading wildlife and landscape artists.

With his admiration for wildlife and his love of the wilderness, he has the ability to convey the essence of the scene capturing the changing light and cloud.

As an artist who is constantly striving to push the level of his technical abilities, he often explores unusual techniques and mediums that were once used by the Old Masters. Most recently, he has been exploring the technique of Silverpoint drawing. Using metal points made from silver, gold and platinum, he draws onto a specially prepared paper which reacts with the metal to create a very soft, delicate mark. The finished works are subtle yet full of Colin’s signature attention to detail.

Colin lives near Craobh Haven, on the west coast of Scotland.
