greig gilchrist mbe

Greig was brought up exploring the West Coast of Scotland, where he was to later return and settle with his family on the Isle of Lismore. After 35 years living and working around the world, including 10 years in South America, the Caribbean and Asia, he now designs and creates from his studio and workshop, housed in restored outbuildings on his wife’s family farm.

Finding the natural beauty in the grain of carefully selected pieces of local hard wood is the desired effect of his work and has always been a passion. The influence of the sea and many years of diving are reflected in the wood, delicately encapsulating the foraged treasures from the shorelines of the Scottish Highlands.
