Penelope Anstice

A graduate of Edinburgh College of Art, Penelope spent 16 years in Amsterdam and London before returning to the landscape of her native Scotland. Painting directly from the landscape, Penelope works mainly in oils but also uses watercolour and gouache. Back in the studio, she often works larger paintings up from sketches, using brushes, palette knives and often her hands, whilst working fast across the canvas to try to capture a fleeting moment.
