Handcrafted from burr oak, resin and foraged treasure in a small, one-man workshop on the Isle of Lismore.

Hundreds of piers throughout the Scottish Highlands and Islands have for centuries enabled access by sea to otherwise isolated communities. Above the water they look intrusive and industrial, many are now in disrepair but below the water they attract an incredible diversity of marine life. 

From Oban, it is nine miles to Achnacroish pier on the Isle of Lismore. The modern concrete slip enables the many vehicles easy access to the island whilst the old pier sits in the background condemned after 100 years of service.
