Handcrafted from ash burr, resin and foraged treasure in a small, one-man workshop on the Isle of Lismore.

Hundreds of piers throughout the Scottish Highlands and Islands have for centuries enabled access by sea to otherwise isolated communities. Above the water they look intrusive and industrial, many are now in disrepair but below the water they attract an incredible diversity of marine life.

Kilchoan or Mingary pier was the only access to the area until the road arrived in 1900 to connect Ardnamurchan with the rest of Scotland. The pier continued to serve diligently until a slipway was built in 1991 to cater for the ever increasing amount of cars.
