I have the benefit of being able to touch my work but mostly sculptures are – Do Not Touch. Touch, I think, is the sense that is often overlooked in this digital age but one that is so valuable. I wanted to produce hand-held, almost intimate sculptures so that everyone can enjoy the experience.

I won an award from VACMA (Visual Arts and Craft Maker Award). This meant I could attend The Scottish Sculpture Workshop to learn how to make the moulds for these sculptures. I also took part in the pouring of the bronze.

It was such an amazing experience.
