Inspired by peaty walks on Rannoch Moor, looking to the sky and feeling the oneness of us all. This sculpture was inspired by the piece of bogwood at the heart of the Sculpture, which was gleaned on one of these walks. The piece is made from bogwood, reinforced cardboard, organic matter gleaned from the landscape, and pigmented gesso. The beak is finished in water-gilded and burnished palladium leaf.
