The immense power of these birds, the hunched shoulder and tearing of talons, all inspired by the piece of bogwood; that forms the main structure of this sculpture. Other materials used are organic matter, reinforced cardboard and pigmented gesso. The beak and talons are finished in water-gilded burnished and distressed copper leaf. The base is Jesmonite finished in bronze powders and acrylic.
